AIR Loyalty brings together customer status and rewards. It has two complementary parts: credentials that prove membership or achievement, and points that customers earn and spend under a program’s rules.

Loyalty credentials

A loyalty credential is an issuer-signed statement about membership, tier, or a milestone. Your loyalty engine determines the status and triggers issuance. A participating partner can verify that credential and apply its own benefit rules without a direct connection to your loyalty database. A credential proves a claim. Even if it includes a points total, it does not maintain a live spendable balance.

Loyalty points

Points represent reward value backed by a funded program. A campaign defines the earning rules, eligible spending options, and expiry for campaign rewards. Redemption connects customer spending to settlement for the merchant or partner. AIR’s points design uses stable-points infrastructure, with campaign rewards layered over it. Where a campaign supports recovery, unused rewards that expire can return eligible backing to the budget for future rewards.

Build a loyalty experience

A credential can establish that a customer qualifies for a tier benefit; a points campaign can then determine what they earn or spend. Each flow has its own rules and responsibilities.
